Who We Are
My name is Julie Brown and I have recently set up a management, training and support service called Phoenix Home Care Services Ltd which I run with my trusted administrator Darren Brown. The main aim of our services is to offer independent, self-employed Carers the opportunity to continue working and caring for their Clients in their own home under Phoenix Home Care Services Ltd, a states of Jersey Approval Provider. Ensuring that the carer meets standards of quality and safety set by the States of Jersey.
The Carer
We recognise that you have been personally chosen by your Clients because they feel that you are the very best person to care for them whilst they remain in their own home. If your Client is entitled to and would like to receive benefits from the Long Term Care Scheme, then as their Carer you will need to register with a States of Jersey Approved Provider in order to continue to deliver this care. We understand that you have worked diligently for many years to deliver an excellent standard of care to your clients and may think that this new legislation is not entirely fair. Registering with Phoenix Home Care Services Ltd, not only are you endorsing those skills and experiences by maintaining the relevant qualifications, but you are telling your Clients both present and future that they can rest assured you are absolutely the very best person to provide a quality, safe and compassionate level of home care for them. Our mission is to provide you with all the necessary tools, training and ongoing support to make this entirely possible.
The Client
We know that independence and quality of life is at its best when it is tailored to meet the needs and habits of each individual. Many Islanders therefore are now choosing to receive care in their own homes. By employing a Carer who is registered with a qualified Approved Provider you and your family can have total peace of mind that you have chosen your Carer well and will receive the very best and safest care available to you.
What We Do
Personal choice for both our Carers and our Clients is at the heart of our philosophy.
We understand the aims of the Jersey Health and Social Department in implementing this framework and that is to ensure the safeguarding, code of conduct and competence of care delivered to Islanders wishing to remain in their own homes is implemented, continually monitored and of the highest standard available. Our service will deliver a solid plan of training and ongoing support to ensure that the Carers receive all the necessary tools, training and mentoring.
